ICH10R Raid 0 failure

Thread Starter
My RAID0 array of 2 1TB F3's crapped out a couple of days ago - Intel Matrix Storage Manager reported 1 of the drives was disconnected, I shut down checked all connections and rebooted.

Both drives show up in the boot screen and the RAID boot screen, however Win7 will not get past the loading screen.

When I disconnect both drives, Win7 boots fine off my SSD.

I'm guessing Windows is not liking the array - any idea how I can get it running again?

The data on the drives is backed up, apart from my Steam games, which I would rather not have to download again.
So I would prefer to recover the volume rather than set it up again from scratch.

Well,

In short, you're screwed. Recovering off a RAID0 array is inherently hard. Also, i'm not sure if your steam games require DLL files to be registered.

RAID0 whilst is great for performance, is very hard to recover from, unfortunately in my experience you'll need to recreate the array from scratch.

With steam you just need the steam.exe and steamapps folder to rebuild the db on your new drive.

But I believe there is a process or a driver required (I forget which) so you might just want to install steam and try dropping the steamapps folder in.
