I finally found a review of the ASUS Sabertooth P67.

They looked at the impact that the TUF tactical vest has on thermal performance.

MB: [WITH VEST = 27C / W/O VEST = 27C] -> 0%
VCORE-1: [WITH VEST = 42C / W/O VEST = 48C] -> 14%
VCORE-2: [WITH VEST = 37C / W/O VEST = 44C] -> 19%
DRAM: [WITH VEST = 38C / W/O VEST = 41C] -> 8%
VCCIO: [WITH VEST = 35C / W/O VEST = 40C] -> 14%
PCIE-1: [WITH VEST = 27C / W/O VEST = 29C] -> 7%
USB3.0-1: [WITH VEST = 41C / W/O VEST = 45C] -> 10%
VCCSA: [WITH VEST = 33C / W/O VEST = 37C] -> 12%
PCIE-2: [WITH VEST = 20C / W/O VEST = 22C] -> 10%
SATA6G: [WITH VEST = 33C / W/O VEST = 36C] -> 9%
USB3.0-2: [WITH VEST = 33C / W/O VEST = 36C] -> 9%

Apparently, you do get a nice improvement provided you use a downward flow fan.

Unfortunately, the reviewer received a 2500K which appears to be a dud, since it could not go past 4.3Ghz on any of their mobos.
