Also, excellent choice on the HAF-X. You will love it.

what about clock speeds etc tho?

Doesn't matter. If it's the same model then you have nothing to worry about.

You can always clock one up or down if you need to, but they still don't have to match up perfectly or anything if one is factory-OC'd or something.

If you want an SSD bad, this is the way to go:

PSU: Antec TP New 750W - saves you $25 compared to that Corsair ($50 if you do the rebate)

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X 4GB (2 x 2GB) - saves you about $50 compared to that 8GB, which you don't need at all for any games

HDD: Samsung Spinpoint 1TB - saves you $15 with the promo code compared to the Caviar Black 640GB and the Spinpoint is as good if not better than the Caviar Black. Plus, 1TB for less money than 640GB. Duh.

That's an equally good PSU, more than enough RAM, and better HDD for less money. There really is no justification for not getting an SSD and paying more for things you will not need at all. You're basically getting the same system you have in your post and an SSD for $15.

Oh I do...

But I want this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148348

just not in the budget.

If i wait, gen 3 will come out and either
A. Make this cheaper
B. I'd rather have a Gen 3
C. either way I'll have more money then haha

I should say tho that If i did buy that SSD...I'd be fine without having a HDD for media till later

would only take me a couple weeks to get a HDD (if I found I need one)

Honestly I don't know that I've ever had more than 300gb worth of stuff on a HD in my life and I could have easily knocked off probably 150Gb's of it heh.

Also I guess ultimately I could settle for a 2500k I know the Cache's are different but I'm not certain how much if any that really effects performance anymore, can pick a 2500k up for like $180

really do not want to do that tho...I guess it depends on the clock per clock benchmarks and what the 2500k is ultimately capable of..its probably capable of my goals of 4.0-4.5 just as easily as a 2600k so unless i push it farther maybe its just flat out a waste of $?

Will 750W be enough to run 2x 570 down the road tho? I guess is another question.

A quality 750W may be enough. 570s use about the same amount of power that the 580s (my cards) do.

So I personally would get an 800-850W for a little breathing room.

Well I think im going to work over the list a little and probably....
dump the ram to 4gb
cheaper psu
also thinking ill get rid of the HDD all together for now and pick up the SSD
drop the mobo to the pro

Last thing I think im trying to figure out is to go 2500k or 2600k (I'll have to figure out what my total cost is and also look at what statistics are out here so far)

anyone know offhand if that CPU cooler will work without hassle and if its overkill for my goals or not?

I'll check up on this post later today.

Thanks a ton for all the help so far.

oh heres a question now that I'm not certain of...

raid two 64gb c300's or just 1 128gb? I'm not certain how to setup raid on SSD's or if theres a real performance gain or not vs the larger drive.

that ocz vertex 2 actually looks fairly sexy (faster sequential write) but In my case read is alot more important..but they are cheaper heh looks like a great drive but not quite perfect for me.
