Please be objective. Think about performance, compatibility, stability, etc. If you have issues with the drivers, what are they? What can ATI do to improve their drivers?

Go!

I've never had any problems with the AMD drivers but not being able to lower the GPU fan below 20% or set AA+AF to 0 is annoying so 9/10 from me.

I voted 7. I had some problems with 10.12 so i had to rollback to 10.11. I knocked a point off for that.

Flash videos crash the display driver if the card is overclocked (100% stable in every game, flash videos crash it instantly). Knocked a a point off for that. Down to 8.

Lastly, until 10.5 there were severe problems with screen flickr in multi-monitor displays. Almost RMAd my card until i found out it was a widespread problem. Knocked a point off for that.

So...7/10. In games 10.11 is 100% fine, 10.12 wouldn't allow portal or mirror's edge to run.

Everything is fine with 10.12 for me except for one minor nuisance.

Whenever I switch profiles, say from Eyefinity to Extended mode, the monitors get all out of order. 1 2 3 ends up switching to 3 1 2.

Hope they fix this soon.

9/10

Never had any issues with any drivers. I also don't update just for the sake of updating though I'm running 10.9 and it works great as have 10.5-10.7 for me. I have no real knowledge on any other versions.

Updating drivers every day and gain no performance (or even worse), not my thing. I don't even game on my Asus G73 anymore because I'm tired of updating drivers. I use the default one and call it a day.

nVidia drivers = every new drivers are an improvement and betas are awesome and all that jazz. No fanboy here. Just saying. I love AMD but they just can't do "good" drivers.

I rated them a 4, and it's mostly because I want my experience to be flawless upon installation. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I've never had to go in and mess around with nVidia's drivers after an installation, I've never had to roll back drivers because the new ones are bunk (upon official release, no less!). I don't have to disable hardware acceleration in any applications because "the drivers don't play nice with X". All I know is that in 2010 I owned a GTX 260, ATI 5870 and GTX 570. I was out $180 bucks on my 5870->570 upgrade for what could be called a marginal increase in performance, but it's money well spent because I haven't had a single issue since going back to the green side. What's really sad is that I had all these issues in a single-gpu setup. I can only imagine the headaches I would have encountered had I gone CFX or with a 5970.

i give them a 2. i am tired of them just thoughing anything out and calling them drivers. they should have 1 release of offical drivers, rest should be beta. none of this new drivers or patches and hot fixes. dont release them till they are done right.
