A single frame of lossless 1680x1050 is likely somewhere in the range of a couple megabytes. Now send that 30 times per second. You'd need a 100 megabyte (or 800 mbps) connection to receive that. Most people have 2-25 mbps. So, as you can imagine, these are very compressed images. It'd be like watching low-medium quality youtube video, each frame would look like a medium quality jpeg.
Also, don't forget input lag. This would be just like OnLive in that respect. To me, this technology can be useful either over a LAN, or over the internet , so long as it isn't for high fps gaming (30+ fps, high resolutions).Edited by lordikon - 1/16/11 at 7:28am
