Fan Controller Or Motherboard Socket use for 6 fans

Thread Starter
im currently using a 6 fan push pull setup on a 360 radiator , phobya 360 g series performance , im new to watercooling anyway , (OR I WILL BE WHEN MY RAM ARRIVES)

instead of getting a fan controller with 6 channels , would my motherboard be able to run , all 6 fans on one socket , if i used the 3pin to 6x3 pin molex adpator , so basically i could link all 6 fans up and use one motherboard cpu fan slot , MY BOARD SAYS IT DOES PWM so it cpu get s hot it runs fans faster etc
would my board handle that its an asrock p67 fatal1ty , asrocks aint the best of boards but i just couldnt wait that extra week for the maximus iv extreme , (and it was red and black also fit rest of my stuff)

if the fans are low powered it might be able to do it, but i wouldn't suggest it, just power them off a molex connector, or get a fan controller.

And to add to what he said ^^^

Unless your board has 4 pin PWM inputs and you buy PWM fans, you wont have any control over the rpms.

Fan controller. Motherboard fan control is usually rather pathetic, and 6 fans is probably too much for one socket.

I'd get the 4-channel Sunbeam Rheobus and a couple of Y-style fan splitter cables.
