amd phenom II x6 - Page 2

The Motherboard basically allows better components, and down the road allows you to Overclock further.

The HD 5850 has more shaders, and GDDR5 VRAM. Therefore the 5850 can run more MB/s through it's VRAM and can process more things at once. It also has better architecture with the Cypress Pro chip.

this would be a good motherboard

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131595

along with this for the video card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130572

that would be a far better upgrade then a six core.

micro atx and atx don't really have a direct price correlation. Some can be more expensive, and some can be less expensive, the board i linked would be a nice board for your purposes. what PSU do you have?

yes you will need a quality PSU to power your setup. another good thing about that motherboard i linked is you have the option to upgrade to an am3 chip, some of the bulldozer chips are suppose to be am3.

this would be a nice quality PSU.

No. crossfire 4670's get about 7300 vantage score, so your card would be lower then that. the HD5850 gets about 11k vantage score by itself.

crossfire 5770's would be a better option too. they get about 14k points in vantage.
