Want to add 2vraptors as boot drive in raid0

I picked up a couple 150gb raptor drives. Im wanting to set them up in raido and use my current 1tb f3 as storage. Could someone point me to a guide on how to do this without losing data on the 1tb drive? I did disconnect my current drive and setup the 2 150s in raid0 but when I reconnected the main drive it had it marked as a raid drive too. I had option to make it a non raid drive but it said I would lose everything.

Was the F3 originally part of a RAID configuration?

It's showing up as a RAID drive in BIOS? That's probably just something to do with RAID mode. Go ahead and install Windows on the two raptors without the other one plugged in, then plug in the drive and see if it's accessible in Windows.

yeah just unplug it while you put windows on the 2 150's then once your all set in windows plug it back in.

I did that and when it shows the raid configuration it shows the old drive as failed.

If I unmark it as raid will it delete everything?

Does it say it will delete everything? If not, it probably won't.

Don't get mad at me if it does, though.

It says its going to. I need the bios not to see the added drive as a raid drive after installing windows on the actual raid drives.

OK, I'm still trying to figure this out...

You tried plugging it in and booting Windows. Does Windows say something is wrong? Or is it the BIOS that says the drive failed?

I ended up backing up the 1tb drive on my sons pc and when I unmarked it as a raid drive it indeed did make all my files all gone.

But anyway I got it handled.
