EVGA backplate + EK Full Cover , anyone know FOR SURE?

wow, so i asked a few times before and people told me the EVGA backplate will work with the EK Full Cover

so now that my stuff has shipped and is almost here, i just read that someone tried it and it doesnt work

That's a FC580 at the bottom. Since it is compatible with the 570 I linked a 570 backplate. They don't look like every screw would match up.

Yeah...you can really only trust your own research. It was a lot of research for me to buy Koolance waterblocks for my 5870s. Even Koolance could not verify definitively if it would work with my EF6 cards.

You simply have to find actual people who have done it with the same exact cards and blocks.

Yeah they won't fit. You can always send the evga backplate back.

The EK plate is thicker and heftier than the EVGA. Machined finish is of excellent quality, it's def worth the price premium...

Why not just get a drill out? You could have the EVGA backplate modified to fit the EK block in about 10 minutes.

dont really trust myself doing that lol.. it wouldnt look clean either

anyway, just ordered the ek backplate from frozencpu no biggie, just wish the evga would have worked cus i like how it says GTX570 as opposed to GTX580 on the ek lol

oh no... ><; they wont fit? any links to the post that mentioned it? i just placed my order for the backplate

Might still give it a go, will mod it if i have to and post the results for sure. Can't seem to get a real answer anywhere i look, guess i'll find it out myself.
