Video Card Upgrade?

Thread Starter
Hey everyone. i was wondering if this is possible. I like the HP G42t: http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/sh...ng/G42t_series. The Video Card that can be upgraded into it is the 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6370. Can this video card be upgraded to something higher?

If not, what is another great company that you can choose the upgrades to the laptop?

Thanks so much in advance,
Matt

Isn't this GPU just an onboard chip that's soldered onto the motherboard?

This page leads me to believe so:

http://www.amd.com/us/products/noteb...eon-6300m.aspx

If this is the case, then I think that it isn't user-upgradeable.

Hmm, I see. So basically what I get, I'm stuck with. I really like that HP that I posted up above but I'm not sure how it will handle games.

What's your budget? ASUS has some nice 14" i5/i7 laptops with GT335 or GT425 GPUs. They're on Newegg for around a grand.

Ehh, I don't want to spend more than $700. I'll have to look around some more.

Depending on the games you want to play, you won't be doing too much gaming on a laptop with that kind of budget.
