I only needed 1.063v for 850. Surely you didn't need 1.188v for 880.

thats part of the reason I think my card may have been faulty, or GIGABYTE 570s just suck

I've heard a lot of people say not to go above 2200MHz for the memory, but I was very surprised when I actually got it easily stable at 2300MHz with volts only around 1.125v.
There was another guy who bricked his 570 by running 2300mhz on memory for only 10 days.

You're pushing it with that memory clock. Not to mention that you gain almost nothing from overclocking the memory.

I've run higher volts than that with OCCT!
Just tell them, it died playing Crysis. They'll understand

I mean! Dudes on here Fold on their cards for months and months non stop! And your card dies as easy as that
And another thing! If they were so fragile. Would some have lifetime warranties

I say the card was defective when you got it
RMA that pos

Alright I had a 4890 (XFX), it died within 3 hours of install. While the 2nd one is still alive and took the same abuse plus some. When a card dies due to being overclocked within the first hours of having it, Im pretty sure its defective. Graphic card can within stand a great deal of abuse.

I agree. I definitely won't push the memory past 2200MHz with my next one.

No, it was probably that freaking 2300mhz memory clock that was limiting your OC.

Don't do that with the new one. Only bad things will come of it.
