open your eyes and read some of the advice in here instead of blaming it on a bad card

1. 16 hours 2300mhz memory 1.2v hahahaha you should have asked people here how to OC if you don't know how

2. it's called VRM , your stock air cooler doesn't cool it at all

3. i really hope ignorance is not a valid RMA reason

You cannot just arbitrarily pump voltage into electronics and expect good things.

16 hours isnt the problem.... people fold on cards all the time....
16 hours at voltage over the max recommended.. yea that might be a problem.

MSI Afterburner locks you at 1.1 for a reason...

LMAO + REP for you, make a thread and post this on it so people will stop starting threads saying they fried their hardware

12v fan running 24v != 1.15v core running at 1.188v either.

I see people on HWBot got the damn thing up to 1.5v with LN2 pisses me off because the scores blow away my chinsey air cooled 580s.
notice how i said it would smoke out long before you ever got to 24v... i feel like people should have to know how to use test bench equipment and solder long before they start overclocking... the lack of understanding is unreal.

you literally ran it at double the entire voltage RANGE that it comes with stock.

Thread Starter
I certainly should have done more research on this card before I overclocked. I was much too impatient.

hope this thread helped some people!

But were you pumping semi insane voltages through them? If the card fails while everything in spec, it probably is bad, but when you're punishing one that badly and it fails you can't just start jumping to conclusions. All I'm saying is lets do some logical thinking before we label a brand and/or product.

On a sidenote, man I'm jealous of your EK Supreme HF. Would love to have that on my q9550 .

Overvolting plus stock air cooling= Death. Your VRMS probably got raped. Thats why I like me some full cover GPU blocks so you can over volt like a mad man and not kill a card.
