I have just the Ram heatspreaders that came with my ram.

Oh okay, mine are the ones with no additional heatsink, just the "little" on around it. And there's no extra fan with them.

It depends:
  • What's the approximate air temperature in your computer room?
  • Where do you keep your system? I mean, is it in an enclosed area, or is it out in the open?
It's a computer!

I'm curious as to what the QPI/Dram/PLL voltages are here. (Or at least, I am if that is C1E/Speedstep kicking in on the 12x multiplier).
So sexy it Hz

The ambient temperature is about 20 - 25 celcius in the room. It's a wide open area and the computer is not in a closed area.

My Noctua-D14 is ~32.6 celcius when I am running IBT and the air temperature in the case at the same time is from 24 to 30 depending on where in the case it is.

I am running the system at 4215MHz with 168x25 @ 1.336v

The QPI is set to 1.22, CPU PLL to 1.6, DRAM Voltage to 1.65, IOC Voltage 1.10 and ICH Voltage set to 1.20.

I've also set CPU/PCI Amplitude to 700mV and disabled Spread spectrum and all the Green Power Features.

The Case I have is a Fractial Design 3 with 2 noctua fans in the front pushing air in at a pace of 1300RPM

The D14 have the stock fans and in the rear there is a fractial design fan at max speed and on the side/door there's a 140mm noctua fan blowing air into the case running at 700RPM and at the top of the case there's a fan blowing air out at the same pace.

Hope that was enough information to give you a clue of what I run.

What? Do all my screenshots need to be at 100% load 100% of the time? biggrin.gif

I was messing around benching and testing stuff. I do know I never got 24/7 stability @1800 until I put some air on them. After that they should pass anything you want to throw at it Prime95 / LinX, whatever-wise.
