What's the difference between Tactile, Clicky and Linear? What switches do they have? I assume NKR means I can button mash correctus?

Rep+ so far to the friendly folk who shepherd me through the rather daunting world of typing.
alright, here you go:

blue = clicky = best for typing, has an audible "click" when it activates, and you can feel the click when it activates. has the lowest pressure of the three. these are the easiest to type on and are best for your fingers if you type a lot

brown = tactile = quiet version of the blues with low noise, but retains the click feel when it activates. slightly higher pressure to activate than blues. these are a good compromise switch from what i have heard, but I have never actually tried them myself.

black = linear = no audible click and no click feel, this makes it easier to repeatedly press the same key while gaming. they are the highest pressure keys and are not optimal for typing because of that and because without the "click" you are more likely to bottom out the keys.

So, are the filcos backlit? I see it says "blue LED" or "green LED". I put a poll up to see what is best according to you folk.

I'm leaning towards blues... because I want that click! This is it right?

the LED color is for the caps lock, scroll lock, and num lock indicators, it is not backlit

Those colours describe the colours of the lock lights. They are not backlit.

If you want a backlit keyboard, you may want to look at the Razer Blackwidow.

Ah, touche... I didn't think they were backlit.

So, what colour should my keyboard be? I've got a choice between cherry black, blue and brown. I assume the whole board is painted correct? i'm pulling your leg on that one...

You can tell. Browns are less tactile, and lower force than the blues.

I've heard Razer's mech keyboards are just as decent as any of the other Cherry-based mech keyboards on the market.

OK, well it seems keyboardco are absolute asses and quote all their prices minus tax (whereas 99% of other stores incl. tax). So, it is actually £114. I'm going to have to sleep on the decision... £114 is a lot, lot, lot of money for a keyboard...
