I bought a 2TB white label drive with 1 year warranty from GoHardDrive.com (they don't answer the friggin phone) and when I plug the hard drive in and boot up it says "Hard Drive, Device Verify Failed".

have you formatted the drive? Is this for storage or are you trying to install windows onto it?

I tried to format the drive through the configuration utility (CTL+I) but it wasn't even detected. It wasn't detected via My Computer > Manage, either. I'm just trying to use the drive for storage.

If it's not detected in the BIOS it's dead.

Go into Computer Management in Control Panel - Administrator Tools, and check the drive's status there, If the space is unallocated, that will be the reason why it's not showing up in My Computer, Just create a "New Simple Volume" and all done
