Are any of you using offset to overclock to 5Ghz? If so, I'd like to know what amount of offset you are using in conjunction with your LLC level to obtain stability. I'm having difficulty dialing in the offset voltage so that I have a high enough level of voltage at low loads without also having excessive amounts of voltage at full load.

With the new real temp, which voltage do I trust? CPU-z shows 1.48 at load, realtemp shows 1.39 at load. I think realtemp is right and here is why. I have my bios set to 1.42v with vDroop on high. So that should produce a lower load voltage, yet I was seeing higher voltages at load and idle. Idle it's at 1.46 in CPU-Z. When I was relying CPU-Z for the voltage I thought my board was messing up the voltage. Now, seeing the voltage in realtemp, I have hope that CPU-Z is reporting the wrong voltage.

What do you guys think, and is anyone else seeing a difference between CPU-Z and realtemp voltages? Screen shot below.

real temp shows the VID your processor would have at auto at speed, (which would instantly bsod btw judging by the vcore you actually need.) NOT your true voltage, ALWAYS trust cpuz and bios, AND HWmonitor.

I use offset... I was using an offset of + 3.0

I lowered that since then... I can get in windows all the way down at + 2.0 but instant bsod when I run prime... I can also pass IBT at like +2.3.

standard LLC

but I think I'm going to mess with my settings to see if I can use LLC and a lower offset.

edit: I can only not bsod out of prime if im at +2.9 or higher... I liked to give the processor some extra juice just to seal the deal to 3.0. Which is what I ran my 5.0Ghz @.

edit: could this be why my system seems like it needs more volts than everyone elses to stay stable? Just curious... I won't try this till I get home tonight so any help is always appreciated.

Yeah, I got a bit nervous and almost shut it down. I didn't expect to have to up the vcore so much. I hit 5.0 with 1.42 on small FFT's, but had to up it to 1.46 and open a window to get the blend stress to pass.
