88c with H70 is kinda high bud. Your voltage is higher than the set bios because MSI over volts. Mine does the same thing. I was at 1.48 and it went to 1.496 during prime. Once you see 90c thats unsafe. 88c is real close. Try reapplying the H70 with some different paste. Cant hurt to try. But with air were getting lower than than. Any questions PM

I already cleaned off the like 1mm thick gob of paste that was on the thing from corsair. It's using IC Diamond right now. And at 4.6ghz stressing for 2 hours on blend I maxed at 78 so I think the H70 just isn't that great. But i'll never hit those temps w/ real use anyways so I'm not at all concerned about it.

Eventually I'll pick up a rasa and try again.

Edit: I'm sure it doesn't help that I'm also attempting this w/ HT on.

Whats your ambient temps? Were you using the 1600 or 2000 RPM on the fans?

I'm not using the stock fan's, they were loud as hell. The fan's im currently using are 3 pins so not even adjustable. I think I'm going to pick up some GT AP-15's though so maybe those will help. Ambient temps I have no idea, probably around 70*F.

I like it alot actually, Seems to overclock easier than my previous board. The bios is also much better IMO.

#2 is batch 3101a201

Please advise now i can use both and se which one works best but i would rather just know up front which one to start with thanks again and i am going ot be cooling with water
Which did you end up going with.. i have the first one.. i had a previous chip stable at 4.8 at 1.375 volts 24 hours, this one craps out on anything say less than 1.46 volts or more.

It would only run at 1.38 volts at 4.6ghz (other than cranking volts).
