I have a cm690 and hate it. So i vote for the 300 because of its simple looks, price and awesome modability.

How can you hate a 690?

Definitely 690 II

I just bought the 690 II Advanced at Frys (B&M) for $55 after $20 MIR. I thought for the money, it really couldn't be beat. The rebate expires today and it's brick and mortar only...the only store has it for $69.99 after rebate.

I may be biased, but I prefer the 690 II (advanced if you have the funds for it). Better airflow and it's a bit bigger and wider. Also, the tool less bays are nice, slip in and snap in.

CM690 II is a better case overall.

It has more room inside
The placement of the drive cage makes it so you dont have to fight with the back of long video cards to put in the power and sata cables.
Has better cable management at stock than the 300 Illusion does.
Same airflow if not better than the 300.

well im going with the cm690 because I think it looks better, and its combos with a PSU.

I was deciding between the 690ii and 300 (and some others) when I was planning my sig rig a few months ago. Went with the 690ii for a few reasons:

1) Cutout for the CPU cooler's retention plate
2) Whole bunch of places to mount fans as long as something isn't in the way
3) Cable management looks better to me
4) Tool-less HDD and 5.25" installation
5) Black interior
6) Big rubber feet

Having owned the 690ii for about 6 months now, the only thing I'd call a flaw is how CM decided to set up the filters. Not a huge deal breaker for me, though. If I had a bigger budget, I'd have gotten something nicer, but for the price, it's a great case overall.

Both 690s are leaps and bounds ahead of any antec -hundred case, especially the three hundred.
The only thing about the 300 thats better in any way is the dust filters, but one of the first things I did to my 690 was take them out anyway since I don't mind cleaning my case.

Oh, the 690 II wins by a landslide. Best case for the price on the market. Basically, if the 690 II can't fit your needs, you need to build your own case. lol
