Good point and for that, I repped you sir.
I don't believe we've reached the end of an era. Air cooling is always gonna be here since there are people who doesn't want to go through the hassle of setting up and maintain the full loop. I've been here almost 2 years and I've seen quite a numbers of posts stating why they've gone from full water back to air.
As for the stock fans, there's aways gonna be aftermarket audience (namely us, enthusiasts) but like CC said, I want to see some new invention instead of just heatsinks getting bigger and bigger (just look at NH-D14). All I can say is, I can't wait to see what's next in terms of heatsink design.. maybe something that will integrate some sort of air duct/tube into a case and sell the whole thing as a kit. Something that isn't quite as big but does effective job of bringing down the temps.
Hopefully we won't have to wait long for something new and exciting to come along. Edited by reaper~ - 1/14/11 at 7:38am
