P8P67 Deluxe RAM Problem.

Thread Starter
My RAM is rated for 2000MHz 9-10-9-27 2T at 1.65v.

If I change the timings from anything but the auto values in the BIOS, the system will not boot. It just stays on a black screen with a flashing typing cursor thing.

The auto values are 1066MHz 7-7-7-20 1T.

I tried using 1.65v on the auto values to see if it was the voltage which was causing a problem, worked fine.

I don't think it's a memory problem, because it happens when I lower it to 800MHz, too.

If I keep the timings set to auto and set the RAM to 1333, 1600, 1866 or 2133 the system does not boot. The only speed I can use is 1066.

The CPU is overclocked to 4.8, are there any other voltages I need to increase to get better RAM stability?

I am having a VERY similar issue. Cannot boot over 1333mhz (which is what the BIOS defaults me back to each time.)

I am hearing people having success by following these instructions:

Quote:
Shut down and disconnect the power cord.
Press and hold the "clear CMOS" button on the back of the computer for about 10 seconds.
Reconnect power cord and turn on system.
Go into BIOS and make whatever changes you want, BUT don't set DRAM voltage over 1.6v.
I will personally be giving it a shot when I get home today.
