Is the TJ07 really the best way to go for a WC case?(Post #1 important!)

Thread Starter
I have been looking for the ultimate watercooling case and after I have sorted out the 800D, HAFX,Lian Li PC80 and AF77 and many more I had to make a decision between the TJ07 Window Version and some Mountain Mods cases in the same price range based on Cable Management, Looks,Watercooling capability,Airflow,Space and Features.

I now have some questions regarding the TJ07.

First here are the parts that I want to fit in it:
https://www.aquatuning.at/shopping_c...cda3a5e3d8a8c7

1.)Will the Phobya Balancer 250 fit in the case?
2.)I have a +85 Revolution PSU will I have problems mounting the 360 rad in the bottom?
3.)Will I have to remove all the harddrive cages in order to mount the rad?if so where could I put my 2 x HDD´s and SSD?
4.)My PSU has very thick sleeving how will cable management be in the case?
5.)I am meaning to buy 2 x GTX 595 SLI will I encounter any space issues? I am not sure if I wanna liquid cool them but in their reference design they are very thick.
6.)Is their enough space in the case in general as it is a full tower yet looks a little small ^^
7.)As I currently have the option to choose ...those are my alternative case options from Mountain Mods :
a.)Mountain Mods U2 - UFO http://www.aquatuning.de/product_inf...ginal-Top.html
b.)Mountain Mods Pinnacle 24 CYO http://www.aquatuning.de/product_inf...dow-Panel.html
So do you think the case is future proof and far better then the Mountain Mods cases I have as an option?

Hope you can answer all the questions

Thx in advance!

1. The res should fit but it would depend where you want it.

2. You can get a 360 in the bottom, it overlaps the psu by a small amount but there's enough width, I had an RX360 in mine and the pump behind it.

3. You will have to remove the drive cages for a rad. I used a 3 drives into 2 front bay adapter and put them there - there really isn't anywhere else if you have WC in the bottom.

4. Good luck with cable management, I did get a 10/10 in the Rate my Cables thread but needed a 1" hole saw and a jigsaw to make my own.

5. I think it will be a while before any GFX won't fit.

6. I had 2 full loops, 240+360 rads, 2HDD + 2 SSD plus all the rest and it was a squeeze. 1 loop and 1 rad though is no problem.

7. I filled up my TJ07 and ditched it for a UFO Horizon. Its gonna depend what you put in though. UFO's have less cable management than '07s, but more space and more options for layout.

1.)I originally picked a 360 rad the Phobya G Changer ...but since I want to use the 480 space I want to get a 480 rad ...problem is that my budget only allows me 75 € so should I either get a good 360 rad or one of the cheaper 480´s?
Here the Link of my retailer please recommend:http://www.aquatuning.at/index.php/l...n/cPath/25_288
For now I will only cool the CPU but later GPU will be added.

2.)I have to make a decision between the TJ07 and MM Pinnacle 24 CYO and MM U2 UFO but I will take the TJ07 ...not only did many people recommend it over the MM cases they also said that total costs of the MM cases + all fan grills etc ...will result in a too high end priceAlso the TJ07 is supposed to have more space...better watercooling ability ,look better and have more features

Having used both I'd say there's more room in the UFO, and more WC friendly - it all just fits without drilling holes, mounting stands ect., it is overly expensive though and I'd agree the '07 looks better now I have the UFO sat here.

For the Rads, I've not looked into the performance of any 480's, nor considered putting one in the bottom of my '07, there are people on here that have though so they'd have more experience. I just know they fit but its a tight squeeze. Persoanlly I just have as much rad as possible to run lower rpm fans and have a quieter system - thats the reason I started WC'ing, my 4870x2 was an annoying hairdryer.

Can I point you to this. I bought all my equipment (3x phobya 480 G Changer RAd, 250 multiption res from aquatuning.at) and it fit perfectly inside this new case of mine - had a mora2 before. Everything internal, which is very nice when going to lan parties, no more quick-disconnects.

yap I decided to take the 480 G Changer ...only thing now the fittings....what would be the best way to set up the loop?I got 19 inch tubing ....with the way the radiator is mounted at the bottom I think I would have problems with straight barbs ...so please advise me what fittings and what way the loop should be configured.
I got the D5 Vario pump,480 G Changer,Phobya 250 Balancer res,19 inch tubing,Kryos CPU block.
And will I need dust filters for the rads? or is the area of the TJ07 already dustfilered?
I attached a drawin on how I think it should go.

Please advise

So is it possible to use 19 inch tubing with the TJ07?and how should I route the tubes so the would reach the 480 rad in the bottom?
