Weird fan noise from 5870

Thread Starter
Hey guys I'm wondering my 5870's been having their weird humming nose that comes from the fan. It never happened before but slowly began to happen more and more often. Usually to fix it I just drop fan speed low then readjust or I just push on the fan and the noise will just go away. Do you guys think the fan is loosening or something and what should I do? Thanks

Sounds like a faulty fan. I'd contact Sapphire asap, they are very good at dealing with things like these.

If you can, record the sound with a microphone or camera so you have something for them.

what i'm trying to say is this isn't a major problem. sure, my components will make noises every now and then but it's been working fine.

Minor problems could progressively get worse and end up becoming major problems right? Why not catch the mouse before it breeds.

ok, well if you are that OCD about it then you should RMA through sapphire. or check out the fan yourself and see if there is something caught in it...
