Hi,

I would like to read/updates/feedback from you guys regarding Star Trek Online. Yes, I know on its original launch last year, things did not look good. But I did play the game right before the latest update (Season 3) was pushed.

And I can't find any proper detailed in depth review of the game after Season 3 was pushed. That update did bring in lot of updates.

For all the current users who are still playing the game - Do you see this game getting better and better?

And yes, I also know the ground combat is being rewritten. Since I played from thanksgiving till December 2010 (I had 1 month free)...I did get annoy at the ground based games - extremely boring and unoriginal.

I don't know why they don't take quests etc like from the Star Trek 25th Anniversary Game (Now that was an amazing game - especially the cd-rom version - it had all original actor voices)...but the main part was the adventures. STO needs cool interesting adventures. I did get bored with what I had to play. And then I tried WoW...currently hooked on that.

Another thing which is bothering me - is Free to Play option being mentioned in their latest Engineering Reports. If I am contemplating to buy a lifetime subscription then the game better stay in subscription mode for atleast 3 years or so. I am not a fan of free to play - as I believe the game does loose its value (developers can get lazy...this is my opinion). My subscription is inactive at the moment - might get a time card soon.

Anyway, please let us not make this thread into a massive flame war. My purpose is to help new users researching about this game.

Lets start off with current latest impressions about the game. This has to be Post Season 3 updates feedback.
