Syndicate (this is still one of my favorite games of all time)

Aces over Europe

Alone in the Dark (another all time favorite): I was so creeped out by this game that I couldn't play it in the dark. Keep in mind I was like 10 years old...

F-117 Stealth Fighter: My first flight sim. So realistic it is boring. You have to fly 20 minutes to and from your target.

The entire X-wing series : I think these games are still the best star wars flight sims ever. The gameplay of this series is honestly better than the star wars games of today. Sure the graphics are horrible but it doesn't matter. You can controll your shield distribution front to rear, you have to manage your overall power generation and distribute it to lasers, engines, and shields. You can put 100% to any of them and have powerful shooting, defense, or pure speed. These games are true classics.

Battlezone (RTS/FPS!!!). You get to build a base command and conquer style while engaging in intense future tank battles from the driver's seat. EPIC!

EDIT: Doom and Wolfenstein 3D. Don't know how I forgot those...

The funny thing is that I'm realizing how much more of a gamer I was back when I was 11. I honestly think todays games have gone downhill in content. Sure the graphics are 10,000X better but the soul and spirit of the game just isn't there anymore. The re-playability of a game shouldn't depend on achievements... If they remade some of these old games with modern graphics I think people would be blown away at how good the underlying game is.

Only two games are worth mentioning to you guys:

Raptor: Call of the Shadows (Free for DosBox or 10$ for the new Windows 7 version)
Bio-menace (Free for DosBox)

Raptor is the best shooter game ever made to this day.
Bio-menace is the best platformer game ever made to this day.
