Cleaning Tips

Thread Starter
So typically when I clean out my case I bust out the ol compressed are. That takes care of most of the dust. I do notice though that there appears to be a fine layer of dust on things like my video card and sound card. I want to clean them but I'm not sure the best way to go about it with out damaging the parts. I've tried the compressed air but that doesn't seem to get it. Any suggestions?

I've never been satisfied with tins of compressed air. I fart with more force then those things...seem a total waste of money to me.

I have myself a anti-static brush i use to wipe over dusty components, also a good pair of lungs help. The brush should rid you of most if not all of your problems (Except caked on dust on fan blades or radiators)

I love that thing, its much stronger than regular canned air; and cheaper in the long run depending if you spray your computer constantly

I have this and it is SO useful. After an hour of spraying time it is WAY more cost effective than canned air, better for enviroment (pick up chicks with that stuff), and has HUGE air force. In fact if you let this thing go with most of the attachments on a fan you could break it from the RPM. So make sure u hold the fan

Only downside is it sounds like a jet, but since it requires 2min to clean a case completely and in every spot its worth it. I think I got it for cheaper than what you have listed but $50 is worth it imo.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Probably going to pick up the duster and the brushes for good measure.
