I don't see invisible voltage at that level being added. Or at least as reported by HW Monitor. Min: 1.34, Max: 1.37. As set in bios: 1.34

yeah, that is what I do too.

also, check out the energy saving option and set that to high.

one other thing to think about is to disable HT. That gives you 4 cores but more headroom on OCing with lower voltages. It really depends on how much video editing you do since that is one of the few apps that really takes advantage of HT.

since it's 32nm, you shouldn't go over 1.35v since some i3s die at 1.4v but maybe it got fixed

Be careful with LLC, ASUS has been known to be way too aggressive with it, and it will add voltage to your chip that you won't see.

Example: 1.31v set in bios is really 1.46v but you don't know it.
While this may have been the case once on a board for you. I'm not sure thats how it goes for all boards. I would think this would have been a widespread issue as that is a huge jump.

But on that note I have kept llc down to regular. I don't like how big of a jump it gives the vcore above what I set it.

I've considered disabling it. Again, the photo/video stuff is a hobby that I do from time to time (read: not all that often). Disabling HT for higher OC does sound tempting.

I already know that Hyperthreading adds minimally to overall speed, even on software that is geared towards multiple threads. Is it the same way with overclocking with hyperthreading off? Does turning off hyperthreading enable much in the way of overclocking or is it minimal as well?

With HT off, I can hit 4.8 without really trying.

Plus it is at a lower temp which means my fans aren't working as hard.

(noise matters to me)

I don't understand.
If some i3s die at 1.4v, why not go over 1.35v? Is 1.375v ok? Is it anything below 1.4? Or below 1.39?

Problem is that no one seems to really know.
