[LR] Firefox 4.0 Beta 9 Released - Page 7

This thread is so full of generalisations based on personal experiences that it has no value at all.
  • Because Firefox has crashed on you every time you opened it does not mean that anybody else finds the same problems.
  • Because Chrome loads up faster for you does not mean that Chrome starts up faster for everyone.
  • Because Flash crashes in Chrome for you does not mean it crashes for everyone.
  • Because there may be problem with your system does not mean everyone else has that problem.

You mean Panorama? I have more tabs than that. That's why I was complaining about the UI in Chrome and IE9 in terms of tab functionality. The whole bs result of regular users not using more than 8 tabs at a time by Microsoft is lame.

I also use portable versions of FF and Chrome on my flash drive for restricted computers and such, because all they normally have is IE
HAHAHAHA

Naw, I do just about the same really. I use Chrome for whatever sites FF has problems with. Usually proxy stuff, but we won't get into that. Generally though FF is my every day/use browser.

I like FF because I can set the proxy different than the IE/chrome/system proxy and thus allow me to go the different directions without having to constantly change proxy settings. Working at one company and for another makes life interesting...

I have found that Chrome is more than acceptable. Firefox loads webpages too slow for me, and I hate the cluttered interface. Chrome is just simple for ADD people like me lol.

I do hope Firefox gets better though, because if it becomes faster I can always configure it to look cleaner.

Until Google allows their own toolbar to be used in their browser and all addons I use are available for it, I will be using Firefox. Yes, Firefox is a hair slower. It really doesn't bother me though. I mean we're talking small fractions of a second here. Big deal. I guarantee all the people who complain about how slow Firefox is and how fast Chrome is have offset any time Chrome has saved them 1,000 fold writing posts about the topic.

And before anyone quotes me saying you can do anything in Chrome already that their toolbar does, you are wrong.

Hopefully 4.0 will be faster once released.
