PS3 Mobo question

Thread Starter
i just want to know is this is possible

i want to buy a broken ps3 mainboard (with an intact hdmi output) and desolder and remove the HDMI outputit from that board (i want to do the same to a functioning mainboard that ONLY has a damaged hdmi output(the pins are all bent and the plastic piece in the middle is broken off))

i then want to solder the working hdmi output onto the working board

im not asking how hard it would be, i just want to know (assuming i get the same model of mainboard and that the HDMI is fully functional) if there is any reason this wouldnt be possible or that it shouldnt work

Never tried it, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. It should work with any old HDMI connector.

Sounds good to me, people probably do that with a lot of things.

Should work. Don't see why it wouldn't. I have a YLOD 40GB PS3 Mobo that has a perfect HDMI connector if you'd like to buy it. I could post it in the For Sale section. Hit me with a PM.
