Can Intel H67 run dual-screens?

Hopefully this is an easy question.

A lot of H67 motherboards such as this ASUS model have HDMI, DVI, and VGA outputs. Are they capable of driving multiple monitors, and if so how many since it has three outputs?

If it matters, this would be a high-end workstation for software development, GIS, and occasional video editing, running an i7 2600 (not the K edition). Gaming performance does not matter a bit.

if you are running a lot of programs like that you should probably look into a cheap video card.

Normally the onboard video cards can only run one monitor, but I don't know about the new SB boards, but i have never seen one do it.

Not true. Modern onboard video can run multiple monitors provided it has enough outputs. 2 is likely the max you can output on that board.

The AMD IGP can only do 1 digital and 1 analogue simutaneously. This means you have to choose between HDMI or DVI.

Dual independent display expands the viewable workspace to two monitors.
