PLZ HELP FSB Problem!

Thread Starter
Whats happening here my PC doesnt seem to work with my FSB higher than 133!? That aint right is it?

Mobo: Soyo KT-400 Dragon Ultra Black Edition
Mem: 2 x 512MB DDR400 (Elixir is the brand)
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2400+ at 2000mhz Thoroughbred

My pc will boot just fine if the FSB is only at 133, any higher and it doesnt boot. The problem that i cant seem to figure out is to get my FSB to 200. The current config is 133 x 15, but with the fsb running at that speed im not taking advantage of the DDR400 ram that i have right? I should be able to change the setting to values : 200 x 10 or the 166 x 12, but everytime i change it to those values and save cmos the pc restarts but i get no post or display it just sits there. and i have the thing that divides it all so Dimm/agp/pci are 200/66/33 so the clocks are right, ive even relaxed my ram as low as i can, but still no luck... I feel like i have tried everything i cud think of i dont understand wut the problem is, tried uping the voltages on everything ram vcore ect... i want to get the 200 x 10 if possible ive read other forums with people saying theyve acheived this with the same CPU! Im all out of ideas and frustrated!

Another prob that i have that cud be of some useful info, is if my ram isnt relaxed all the way my pc will just reboot out of no where, if only sum values r relaxed wen a game starts it reboots, i have the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb.

Ya i posted this same thread earlier but this is really getting to me and im kinda impatient so sry!!!

Any suggestions wud be greatly appreiciated!!!

Try a 12.5 multi with the 200 mhz fsb. That's what my 2800 barton runs at. It may not work with your t-bred, but it's worth a shot.

On most Soyo boards, the ram setting needs to be set to SPD in the bios.

By SPD (speed haha dumb me)is like a 1:1 ratio thing, ram will match the FSB at all times.

I think his problem is the mobo is running a divider by default(who knows why) and is running the ram @ 200mhz to begin with and the CPU @ 133 and when he ups the FSB the ram get clocked too far, and there it goes crashing...

"Serial Present Detect" which means the bios will pick up the preprogrammed module setting. Or you can set it manually but bear in mind that the dram clock can only be equal or higher than the cpu fsb setting
