Please help with my first build for gaming. THANKS! - Page 3

Don't get a Corsair TX series PSU. Good PSUs, ****ty value for what they charge you.

Firstly, your system would run perfectly fine on this PSU:

If you want room for two GTX 460s, then get this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817207002 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817207007 (same unit, different color -- the green one ends up being a bit cheaper after factoring in the rebate and shipping)
or

Next, get this SSD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227550 -- same price, better performance than the Agility 2.

Next, I suggest you get 4 GB of RAM rather than 6. You can upgrade to 8 later on. 3 sticks of 2 GB would mean one stick is running in single channel, which is kind of a waste. For a gaming computer, 4 GB is more than enough.

Finally, the GTX 560 is coming out by the end of the month, you might want to wait for that.

So here is revised build. If anyone can do just another quick check over these items.

Also are the extended warranties from newegg worth it?

Thanks once again!!!!!

Don't forget to add in shipping costs to your total.

Extended warranties are not worth it imho, most hardware comes with 3 years manufactory warranty, up to lifetime warranty if you register your product. Most system problems occur within a month of continuous operation if a product will fail, so you will know pretty quickly if you need to replace something with an RMA.
