Fingerprint Reader Frusteration

The Fingerprint Reader on my Lenovo w700 doesn't seem to want to work... I boot up the computer, and then it just sits there saying to please wait for the fingerprint logon. It works sometimes, and doesn't work most of the time.

If I go to the fingerprint reader settings, it doesn't give me an option to scan my fingerprint for authentication like it sometimes does.

I had both of my pointer fingers enrolled, and if I go to add another finger to it, it gives me this:

If I try to delete fingerprints, it tells me that it can't...

Having a useless fingerprint reader is really starting to frusterate me... mad.gif

Sounds like a read/write error on the files. Are you running as administrator? Just my 2cents.gif

Sounds like it could be a bad sensor? Contact Lenovo tech support.

Would this still hold true if I said that it works occasionally?
