Do you have $1000 you'd like to totally fill out? Or is $1000 your absolute upper limit, and you'd consider a decent rig for like $700?

Are you an overclocker or do you want to become one?

Important questions. These posts are so immersive!

I can't speak much to giving you exact combinations of parts, but I would recommend that you decide whether you want a PC built for the here and now or a PC for the here-after. Meaning do you want a good rig right now or a rig built with the future in mind. These are important considerations. If you just really, really want to play Metro, get an older 775 QXXX or a dual-core even. Shop around.

He said games like Metro, not just Metro.

Since you already have a card I don't think you need to max out that $1000, unless you want to really go overkill (SSD's, 8+ ram, etc). But if you want to max it out, you'll have a pretty killer computer with that budget.
