What is C1E?
I thought i disabled most stuff that looked like it would interfere and I had loaded the default BIOS before I did an overclock so it shouldn't have changed anything else, or at least i think i did.
Something that has been suggest to me was was possible power supply failure but with it running fine on normal settings this seems odd since i didn't have an overvolt condition at all. Or is that just a logic jump on my part to say that.
C1E is just a power saving feature, it can make overclocks unstable however since it is constantly trying to downclock the cpu when idle. You really only need it for laptops but its good for desktops in certain situations for companies who like to save money on their power bill.
When u reset the CMOS u gotta start all over again and sometimes u forget a setting or two that got u the overclock in the first place.
Luckily your board isn't fried or anything. Also I think u should have ran it at 2.8 with a little more voltage than just stock. I know it passed Prime95 but most CPU's operate better longterm with a higher voltage when you overclock them.
