I've tried dozens of games - bought every single one of them that I liked (my Steam folder is ~400GB, and my /MMO folder is around 150, all paid for...) and instantly wiped forever the ones I didn't like.

I can't take back a crap game on the PC any more - they don't do resales in any local game stores. There's no way I'm betting £40 on a new game being any good, so I try before I buy. If I didn't have try before I buy, I wouldn't buy anything... apart from the certified AAA titles (DAO, ME2, BF3, etc), and even then I've learnt the hard way to be sceptical of the reach of big money companies and their affect on reviewers.

Naturally, I'll take a legal approach to trying something before I pay for it where possible... but otherwise I'm not at all bothered. Not even slightly. Not even the tiniest little bit.

As a net result of piracy, I've spent hundreds (thousands) more pounds on games than I would without piracy.
Please sir, stop making so much sense.

Well consider yourself part of the 0.1% piracy crowd.

Don't take it the wrong way, but i know for a fact that almost nobody goes for the "try-before-buy" approach. Most of the ppl who do actually don't and are just looking for an excuse to get it for nothing...

There's a big difference between trying it out, and a free ride. And the way i know most ppl, they all want something for nothing. I don't care about piracy at all tbh, but what irks me is the mentality of ppl for the most part.

Than you're just trolling to troll... what's the point.
For every game I've downloaded AND LIKED I've gotten the company at least 3 sales out of it(word of mouth advertising works best).
Problem is I'm not paying 50 dollars to find out a game is crap, not when that money could go towards food.

Yeah i'm trolling to troll. Sue me.

It doesn't matter what me, you or anybody else thinks about piracy. The bigger companies have already made up their minds that they are gonna give us DRM up the ass, and shoddy PC ports. It doesn't matter whether or not you are an honest guy, the bigger companies are out for blood now, and they're trying hard to force the majority of cheapskates to pay.

At the end of the day they're failing, but that doesn't matter because it just means paying customers are gonna keep getting the short end of the stick everytime... And yes there are people dumb enough to pay $50-60 without trying a game. And yes there are ppl dumb enough to bend over for these companies and put up with the **** they keep tacking on their software to protect it. On this site alone i see soo many ppl blindly pre-ordering games then coming on here to rage afterwards.

But i guess you are right, what is the point. I may as well just delete this post and replace it with "Post Count +1".

And these developers wonder why so many people pirate. Half of them do it just because said developers utterly fail to give them a demo.
