Careful, applying logic to the copyright trolls in this forum can result in serious backlash.
I've tried dozens of games - bought every single one of them that I liked (my Steam folder is ~400GB, and my /MMO folder is around 150, all paid for...) and instantly wiped forever the ones I didn't like.
I can't take back a crap game on the PC any more - they don't do resales in any local game stores. There's no way I'm betting £40 on a new game being any good, so I try before I buy. If I didn't have try before I buy, I wouldn't buy anything... apart from the certified AAA titles (DAO, ME2, BF3, etc), and even then I've learnt the hard way to be sceptical of the reach of big money companies and their affect on reviewers.
Naturally, I'll take a legal approach to trying something before I pay for it where possible... but otherwise I'm not at all bothered. Not even slightly. Not even the tiniest little bit.
As a net result of piracy, I've spent hundreds (thousands) more pounds on games than I would without piracy.
