I'm running a Corsair 600T with the stock 200mm fans in stock configuration. CPU is a Corsair H70 running on 2 Scythe Gentle Typhoon AP-15s push/pull to exhaust; all on the case's fan controller, max setting.
After my 5 hour 50 minute single prime error (small ffts), I upped the CPU current capacity from 100% to 120% and started another run (small ffts). That run had a single error at 7 hours and 58 minutes.
I have since moved the PLL from 1.8 to 1.76. I am at 2 hours and 32 minutes into that run, so far so good.
So far at 1.4v my max core temps are 74, 80, 80 & 78.
This machine is built for gaming and I fully intend to run whatever OC I manage to get 24 hour stable in Prime 95, 24/7.
After I confirm this 4.8, I will begin a 4.9. Likely this weekend as I have a Mountain mods 5.25 to 120mm fan mount and a mnpctech 3x120mm billet fan grill on the way to mount 4 more Scythe Gentle Typhoons as input as my case is seriously negative pressured, and that is without the 2x Sapphire 6970s doing more than idle.
Once I get the ventilation under control, I have no doubt I can get some of my preliminary settings 24 hour Prime stable. I've tested 4.9 and 5.0 briefly and need more vcore to get them stable, but want to maximize the current settings first. Obviously I need to get temps down before I do that as well, and am hoping the items on the way to me will do that.
