i found a bug with new linx pack and SP1 win7, using linxpack or ibt. i download it the new linx pack to work with sp1. Somehow my bios voltage at 1.390v in bios while running prime95 small ttf cpuz shows 1.378v at max load and temp around 62c.

Now with the new linx pack my voltage does a vrise (according to cpuz) to around 1.450v max load but its showing much less temp 54C). So i believe the new linx pack with SP1 is the problem.

No sucj problem on mine with a UD4, however i do notice HT has to be turn off to get those 120+ GFlops.

Same here, no issue with that. I know before with the old Linpacks it wasn't causing LLC to be fully engaged, so voltages would be a bit lower compared to this new linpack that is more stressful.

I do get a little more voltage draw, but not like you. But I think its just because it is stressing it more.

Yeah, this is the reason.

LLC just gives more voltage to the CPU to prevent a BSOD lol.

I got it stable @ 4.8Ghz with 1.345v and max I've seen on load was 1.352v

but it does not makes sense at all since with prime95 and small ttf i get less voltage reading but much higher temp which seems to be stressing the cpu alot more. with linx and ibt i get much HIGHER voltage reading almost 0.1v increase BUT MUCH LESS TEMP READING. if i increase the voltage manually by 0.1v and run prime i do get much higher temp but with linx and ibt is the other way around.

maybe you have TDP limit enebled in the bios?
mine with asus is set at 140% so no chance to limit performance

also linx with AVX should produce ~130Gflops at 4.8Ghz

What is TDP limit and where can i find it.

i know there a option in VRM call CCC (cpu corrent capability) which you can set it up to 140%. is this what you are talking about and does it make a different?
