But even with that I still don't see it being better overall than a 692 if for no other reason than it's just not that attractive and the cost. It's definitely not worth an extra $30 over the cost of a 692 Basic or $20 more than a 692 Advanced, both of which also have an E-SATA port IMNSHO.
You have a point with the limited 200mm fan choices out there but think as they become more popular they'll be more choices IMO.

The 690 II definitely is still in the running for me I just wished that the power switch, activity leds and such would be on the front not on top. That affords the flexibility to either place it on the floor or on top of a table/desk and still access and see it all. This case seems to be the sexier cases CM makes.

I'm still debating getting a larger case like the Storm Sniper, but what concerns me is if the larger size will become a hinderence if in the future don't have as much room for it. Yeah it's only about 2 inches deeper and 2 inches taller.

Like said, any case is a compromise. Each person has to decide what features will best fit their needs. What we need is for some company to come up with a modular case concept. Have a single mini, mid, and full tower case that the user can order with the specific interior modules that would suit their needs as well as different front and top bezels and side panels. That way a person could get exactly what they want instead of having to get one case, remove this portion, add something from a different case, then modify this and that to get something that is still only close to what they really want and need.

I've thought of the same too. And who knows with the few cases that have the modular hard drive case could spark a start.

Though I'm actually sought of surprised this type of case hasn't come out by now.

Then all the manufacturer would have to do is change the looks of the outer part. Would be actually a bit less R & D on their end to an extent and $$ savings / larger profits.

It baffles me at times that the simplest of things to make things better and easier are not done.

But if you get down to it, manufacturers know this and want people to throw away stuff for consumers to purchase their newest creations. That modular design might slow down new computer case sales later on.

Another vote in for the NZXT Beta EVO. You're seriously underestimating the case if you think its "cheap". It's a VERY solid build quality case, with TONS of room, and more than enough air flow, especially once you zip tie some fans into key places .

The biggest drawback to the 912 Advanced is that it isn't supposed to be available in the USA so it's only available through the CM Online Store which means it's going to take 2 to 3 weeks OR LONGER to get it after you order it unless you spring for overnight shipping. Plus, since it isn't supposed to be sold in the USA in the first place there is no guarantee that they will honor the warranty.

Add to that the one from the CM Store doesn't come with the USB 3.0 I/O panel so you get stuck with a case with less than the expected features.

Not if I ordered it. What makes me so special then? - Because I am! lol!

First, I DID address to CM via the forums on exactly the same issue about the USB 3.0. Here is the exact quote from a CM support supervisor: "Update, those that purchased the limited quantity will receive the USB 3.0 once it is available. We will just require your CM Store order number."

Second, though in the thread in that forum I made a big stink about their "service" purposely (lol!) I'd call Cooler Master CS and get it pushed to be shipped as "M" there knows me especially after the one month (BS that happened with my ERma's not his fault) and has treated me well.

Third, CM would have directly sold it to me and I have an invoice from them, so why wouldn't they honor / back their own products sold directly from them? I can understand if I purchased such from an unauthorized source.

Here's that entire thread where "I hammed" it up - lol!

Considering they do a poor job of supporting the products that are supposed to be available in the USA, what makes you think they'll do any better with products that were never intended to be sold here? I wouldn't trust them any further than I could throw a pallet of their cases.

Remember, this is the same company that was marketing and selling PSU's that didn't come close to meeting the specs they advertised them to have. They are also the company that shipped a lot of HAF cases with faulty I/O panels. Admittedly they are replacing the panels, but they are taking their sweet time in doing so. There is no excuse for taking over a month to ship a warranty replacement part. There is also no excuse for taking over a week to ship an item purchased from the CM Store because someone didn't select the overnight shipping method. Sorry, but trusting CM isn't something I would ever do. They have some good products, but as far as customer service goes they simply don't have any.

Okay then, with that thinking nobody should purchase any Cooler Master product starting right now (LOL!) and the HAF thread will be for "has beens".

I know and if you read that thread I ham it up but make some points for the mods to see and hopefully respond back to as they have so far.

"It's saddening to have to jump through so many hoops for the simplest things with Cooler Master" which is a direct quote from one of my posts there. So my friend believe me I know they have problems too many that for their own good be fixed before they lose more customers and potential ones. They are too laxed and just seem not to give a (blank) and have lied (not so much to me) but to other customers as it's not difficult to find posts in internet land on how Cooler Master sucks.

I know. I read the thread. I've been dealing with CM for over ten years and each time I get one of their products I swear it will be my last, but I keep doing it again. Fortunately, none of those purchases have been for anything that cost more than $30 shipped.

That good hmmm?

I spoke recently with Corsair customer service AND their parts department because at no charge I'm supposed to get rubber grommets from a 800D case.

Told them in essence I'm modding my case and looking to acquire these grommets. No BS just pleasant professional customer service. I hope to see these in my mailbox next week.

Let me tell you - what a pleasant difference! Like Night and Day!

I've read that Lancool CS is non-existent for US customers.
I've read that NZXT CS is just Okay.
I've read that Antec CS is so-so.
I've read that Thermaltake CS is so-so.
I've read that Rosewill CS is not so great.

In your experience if any with the above what have you found?
