N00b Sleeving Questions

Thread Starter
Hey everybody. I've never sleeved any type of cable before, but from all the nice pictures of your guys ''sleeve jobs'' in your cases and the great cable managment they provide, I'd love to get into it. Just some questions from a newbie:

How do you do it? Well, more specifically, are there guides out there or FAQs to do it? I saw a great guide by a user on here on sleeving a power supply cabe (physical psu to wall cable) and would love to see some more awesome guides.

What do you need? Is some sleeving, heatshrinks and a few tools all I need? Where can I find this stuff and should I buy a kit or separate parts?

Is it reccomended a noob should even do this? I got a really nice power supply and would really hate to ruin it by messin up a cable.

I want to sleeve PSU cables (duh). Do I sleeve all of them, only the ones I see, the whole length of the cable, etc?

What size sleeving? Is there a standard size out there? I also want to sleeve SATA cables. What size would I need for these?

Do I sleeve the tiny front panel cables too?

Thanks for your help guys I really appreciate it.

Edit: sry for spelling. Sent on my iPod.

As a noob myself I had no idea how to do it, the kit you suggested (sleeving, heatshrink and the heat gun) is all you need. Also you will need a tool kit to remove the wires from the connectors (one of these http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_7331.html). I wouldn't spend time on the front panel cables, for those all you need is a colour pen of your choice . If you don't want to void the warranty/risk damaging your psu there are pre-sleeved cables that you can buy for less than a tenner
