Cloud computing? No.
Cloud storage? Not exactly.
Optional Cloud backup? Sure.

As something of a game designer (not really, just something like one), I like to keep SOME files synced between computers. I use Dropbox for just this reason. This lets me keep SOME files synced, and allows me to share SOME files with fellow game guys I know (for you see, we like sharing ideas and act as each others early alpha testers).

But I just can't imagine everything I have on my hard drive on a cloud server. Maybe if I had a 5GB/s download speed and a 1GB/s (that's Gigabyte, not gigabit) upload... but even then, as others have said, I want my stuff on my computer.

As for tablets, they wont take over, but I think they're finally getting things right, so they're here to stay this time.

wireless peripherals have been around a looong time, its nothing new or game changing.

i'm assuming the ONE leading reason it isn't catching on is.... the need to replace batteries

it's just piece of mind knowing your hardwired peripheral won't ever bug out

Apparently I'm the only one here that still uses an actual alarm clock.
Hey, phones just aren't loud enough to wake me up, I can't help it.

As for the rest of the article:

yeah I will never take a photo with my ipod touch when I can take one with my canon point and shoot.

yeah before camera had 2mp ... now a 90$ point and shoot has 12-13mp and auto do everything if you are not really into photography and just want a pictures of the family etc.

wireless anything is a no for me I love seeing cords and wire running from my gigantosorus computer case.

the only stream I watch is from team liquid CES blizzcon etc ... If i want a movie I rant a dvd.

tablet will never replace anything with a keyboard . maybe a pip-boy kind of wrist gadget will replace laptop etc but never a tablet could replace a laptop.

those people are sad to watch .

and I watch p0rn all the time ( just sayin )
