Lol, paranoia. The service pack is fine...if it's not working for some people then they did something wrong or their OS is borked.

Mine isn't legal and it installed perfectly fine.

Yeah it is. Check the hashes.

I think so too.

If it's Wave 1 it's RTW.

If it's Wave 0 it's RTM.

Only difference between the two is one is Release to Web, and the other is Release to Manufacturing. Other than that, there is no difference whatsoever.

Nope, mine works fine.

This one installed fine on both my Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 VM's. You need to get Wave1 if you have a different language version than Wave0.
Nah, they'll both work. I installed Wave 1 and it's fine. As I said above, Wave 0 is RTM, Wave 1 is RTW. No difference otherwise.

So far it's been working great. Can't complain. Hopefully I won't be seeing any BSODs anytime soon, but knowing Microsoft, that's hoping for too much.

this is obviously not the final version of windows 7 sp1.... Can someone please change the title?
So... what does this do for Windows 7 aside from offer all of the updates in one package plus that Remote FX thing?

Anything for stability, gaming, reliability... etc?

But it is, it's RTM. Meaning the exact same thing that OEMs will be shipping with their computers. So how is it not final?

Why would it? It's just like Windows XP or Vista. Just updates.
