what makes some stability test better then others?

Thread Starter
so out of curiosity, what makes one stability test better then the other? for example i thought my OC was stable according to furmark (no artifacts on test for 40+ minutes) but on gpu tool about 10 minute in i got an error? furmark stresses it 100% and gpu tool only about 90%, is it the way they stress it or what?

Furmark doesn't test artifacts, I don't believe. The version I'm using doesn't have an artifact scanner..

I have been using Furmark for absolute max load temps, and OCCT for errors.
