Just read this over at EVGA's forums
I'm not trying to score any points. I don't care about who, why, when etc
And even more, i don't use GA at all, i dislike that manufacturer and I don't care if this will affect GA sales. And yet i find very difficult to believe that they sent him 2 (two) motherboards with same defect on them.
Even harder to believe that nobody had replied him in 10 days.
He claims burned pins are very hard to locate/see and yet he finds them upon receive. This could only mean he inspects all equipment with magnifier glass and huge amounts of light? I find that hard to believe either.
I just want to see facts, that is all. I would even want to see that they burn as hell, this would make me feel better about my CPU/mobo.
To your edit i would say only the same, where are all those pictures? Some sort of proof? I see only that his blog post is making fuzz, around what? Should i buy expensive board coz of that? Should i return all GA boards coz ppl will see this post and stop buying them?
That article for overclockers states about high voltages veto, and even so when they said they overvolted nothing happened. Making fuzz without proper testing or at least documentation of that defect is just absurd.
I see only written name in article and i see ppl already jumping to another boards.
If he did so much contribute to community he does know how he needs to document defects.Edited by DiNet - 1/17/11 at 1:53am
