16GB 3GS or Samsung Captivate?

Thread Starter
I pretty much bought the best deal I could find for an iphone today after my blackjack broke. It was a 16GB 3GS unlocked/jailbroken iphone for 250. I'm wondering if I should sell it back on craigslist for the same price (if not more) for a samsung captivate.. any reason why i should or shouldnt?

quick web searching pretty much compares the samsung to the iphone 4, with samsung captivate being limited in apps... i'm not sure. i see mint/like-new conditions of the captivate on craigslist too, and i already got a response from someone who wants to buy the iphone for 250 (i only had it for 8 hours, lol) its 8/10 condition

I'd go Samsung. AT&T sucks, not to mention their iPhone plan is a rip off.

AT&T does not have an "iPhone" plan, it uses the same plan as all smart phones.

Not entirely true. They have data plans labelled "for iPhone" but they're the same price as non-iPhone plans.

Hi thanks for the responses
I don't plan on getting a data plan. I like the wifi features as well as the speed. I'm hoping the captivate has better speed as well as alot of good free/cheap games and slick /useful apps . Because I thought AT&T restricted alot of things with their captivate
So you guys wouldn't say that the captivate is limited compared to the features provided with a jailbroken iPhone right?

Also, 250 is a normal price for the captivate right

If you're on AT&T and you have a smart phone you NEED a data plan, theres no I'm not getting a data phone with a smart phone, then it's not really "smart." And to the guy who said they have plans labeled iPhone, that's for the tards who can't tell what data but it's not like there is an added $20 for it .

It's a throwback to the early iPhone days when they DID cost more.
