What ATI card(s) for under 450AU$ run CRYSIS best?

Thread Starter
Hello, I am looking to buy an ATI card to run very high end gaming for Crysis. Can you recommend a single card and/or cheaper card I can crossfire and get same/better performance for similar money.

My budget is 450AU$

Thanks In Advance

I can't find a good AMD + SLi MOBO. (I'm getting an ASUS M4A89GTD-PRO USB3 VER. + Phenom II X6 1055t OCn to 4GHZ(PREVIOUSLY TESTED.))

...at 30-40fps @ 1080p with no AA, just to give the OP a better idea of how the card performs. Edge AA is available in the game which only takes a couple of fps off compared to normal AA, but is much blurrier than the standard FSAA solution.

Honestly, I would go with an nvidia card at this time. AMD have fallen behind this generation with their 6000 series compared to the GTX 500 series. Not to mention that these drivers have made me go mad with my 5850.

Factory overclocked by 80mhz, plus the awesome non-reference cooler should you overclock. Expect 45fps-60fps constantly throughout Crysis on Very High @ 1080p 0xAA.

The only game I can think of that would actually use 2gb of VRAM is GTA4 maxed out.

The only card which will be beating the Nvidia Geforce 500 series is the Radeon 6990 Dual GPU card which would probably end up owning it

Perhaps, but it could be plagued by microstutter and/or have problems with performance on certain games that don't support Crossfire. That's why I never go for a dual gpu card.
