new graphics card problem

Hi all,
i relieved my new pc today and monitor ( look below to see which ones)
i tried plugging in the mini hdmi cable from the computer to the monitor but it wasnt detecting that the cable was inserted so im currently using a dvi cable. i have tried a different mini hdmi to hdmi cable yet still no luck. could anyone lend me a hand?

sounds like a faulty connector on the graphics card. i would rma it.

Hummm..... I know a lot of HDMI ports seem to be sensitive and sometimes dont work, or break real fast. If it is working is there a special driver install for HDMI maybe. I know on ATI/AMD cards you have to install HDMI sound support to get the sound to work.

I don't know I was hoping maybe Yo would be able to tell me I'f there is a special drive?

Not meaning to make the OP looks dumb....but perhaps the monitor has its default input set at its DVI input. So, you have to manually select the input source from whatever to its HDMI input.
Just trying to cover the most basics.
