Sapphire 6870 new Jan 4th BIOS

Hey guys.. I'm new to the forum. I've been lurking around here past couple of weeks and decided to finally sign up and join the community. This is a good place, lots of active users HOOAH!

I have a question for you guys, a new bios has been out for my card since the 4th.. I've been searching the internet but couldn't find any talk about it other then whats on sapphires page.. Is it worth flashing to this version? Here's the info that's listed on their site.

HD6870 1G GDDR5 PCI-E DL-DVI-I+SL-DVI-D / HDMI / DUAL MINI DP SKU#11179-00 Board P/N:288-1E177-100SA , 288-1E177-100KC . The improvement on this bios is cooling profile for those one who wants lower temperature when running 3d applications. Adjusting fan table in 3D mode.

Also, if I do flash, is it safer to disable my crossfire and remove a card and update them one at a time or it doesn't make any difference?

Thanks in advance guys!

I have Sapphire 6870 Crossfire and I won't be flashing this BIOS. That doesn't warrant enough of a change to make it worthwhile IMO.

If you overclock on the other hand, these might be beneficial.

Unless ofcourse there is something they aren't directly telling us and these are resposible for the black flickering textures in BFBC2?

I wouldn't bother flashing BIOS as if you somehow manage to mess up you end up bricking the card.

And I'd rather have a brick of some nice metal as a paperweight than a 250$ video card.
