First Time Unlock-Phenom II x2 550 - Page 2

Yea when you unlock the 2 other cores expect a temp increase of about 10c. Sometimes its just a little more juice it needs in order to operate, my 555 works as a quad only when the voltage is 1.4 + the stock 1.38 just is not enough, u just need to find the bare minimum amount of volts you need to run it.

I would also recommend the Hyper 212+ for $25 dollars (300TT) i can take my 555 in dual core to 4.5ghz and in quad config 4.2ghz check out my sigs

Well I ran the Prime95 blend test for 10 minutes on stock voltage and I didn't see any signs of instability. Should I increase the voltage if there is no evidence of instability? Or should I actually decrease it to lower temperatures?

Yea it's really just a case of temps...i just lowered my volts again and no cores crashed...but you should run prime for about 1hr just to be sure...or leave it on while ur sleeping and use occt so if it does crash when you sleep you can pull up the graphs afterward and see how far along you did get...but after an hour you should be safe
