It's legit. Wzor has direct sources with Microsoft. The guy's leaks are always on point and real.

Paul Thurrott is either running with what Microsoft told him to run with or somebody missed the memo. The guy is just uninformed in one way or another.

Also, just because Microsoft hasn't "released the RTM to OEM partners" does NOT mean that they don't have an RTM, it just means they haven't released it to OEM partners, which they could do tomorrow (or whenever).

Agreed. Wzor is always spot on. I've never even heard of Paul Thurrot and whoever he is I can bet that he's hugely mistaken. The article also doesn't mention any reasoning behind him saying that the leaked version isn't RTM. I mean come on! The least he could do is explain with some solid evidence like version numbers.

On another note, my Windows has never felt better

Yep, I was right. Thurrott doesn't know what he's talking about.

UPDATE 2: Further information has revealed that this is indeed the RTM build, and that Thurrott was misinformed.

I always trust the scene above large news websites for reliable information. It's screwed but that's how it works nowadays

So what will SP1 bring to Windows 7? Besides things already released as updates?

As I stated in a previous post in the thread:

There are over 625 hotfixes included in SP1, spanning causes of bsods, handle leaks, memory leaks, deadlocks, performance issues, multimonitor issues, interprocess issues, application compatibility and Windows 7 graphics platform updates.

The fixes previously pushed through WU are only a handful of the total amount of fixes included here.

You can download the xls file here to see all of the hotfixes that were in the Release Candidate, and you can expect even more in the RTM that's been leaked. There's just no official changelog for that yet.
