Bottle neck for me??

Thread Starter
Was running stable with stock cooler at 3.3Ghz(Stock 2.93Ghz)300*11, vcore increased by 1 notch. Just got my new CPU cooler n decided to try 3.5Ghz so i increased to 320*11, it cant even boot into windows. Then i tried 315*11, blue screened.... any masters know what happened?? i left RAM timing on AUTO, once ram frequency exceeds 1333mhz thats when it becomes unstable. and theres no fsb:Ram frenquency option for me.. only 3 options in Ram frenquency (AUTO, "lower than 1333" and "higher than 1333") but no matter which 1 i choose, system is unstable...

increase the core voltage. i think that might do the trick. but first go to google and type in your processor name and the word specs. and look for the vid range, and make sure you dont go over the highest allowed. and for now select the lower than 1333 option for ram, and manually enter the stock timings.

no thats about right. you should raise it 1 notch at a time. maybe 2 if need be. if it doesnt boot reset cmos and try again.

i wouldnt know to be honest. all chips are different. some take very mild vcore, while some need xtreme. run a search through the forums here, im sure this has been discussed before. in fact theres probably a guide of some kind on how to overclock your chip.

good luck with the overclock. and have fun
